The Peaceful Mushroom Ring is a Peace Sign composed of five Amanita Muscaria; a variety of mushroom found in northern Europe. This is a classic image often found in Christmas decorations in Germany, adorning the Christmas tree, held by fairies and gnomes. It is said that finding such a mushroom brings good luck. It was also celebrated by Vikings and other ancient peoples of the area as the "magic mushroom" and used in shamanic rites of introspection and "spirit walking".

The ring is formed into the piece sign: first designed by Gerald Holtom for the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in 1958. The vertical line in the center represents the flag semaphore signal for the letter D, and the downward lines on either side represent the semaphore signal for the letter N. "Disarm Now". This was this used by the Peace Movement of the 1960s and '70s.

Combining these two ideas produces the Peaceful Mushroom. This is the ring version; the first of these designs I developed is the Peaceful Mushroom Amulet.
